A salon in Dublin is facing the sack after a woman stole more than half a million dollars worth of polish from its store.
The beauty supply store in Londonderry’s north west has been closed for a year after an armed man rang the front door of the store with a gun.
The man claimed he needed more polish, and asked staff if he could take it.
The staff then called police, who were called to the scene.
The woman who called police said the salon was in the process of selling the nail polish.
She told gardai she was going to sell the polish to pay her rent and bills, and had stolen the money from the store.
A Garda investigation has now been launched.
Gardaí are still investigating and will speak to the man in question.
